Mosman Kinderland is committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of every child in our care. The best interests of children are paramount, and we have zero tolerance for child abuse, harm, neglect or ill-treatment.

Child safety and wellbeing are embedded in our culture, policies, procedures and everyday practices. We treat every allegation, concern or disclosure seriously and act in accordance with our reporting responsibilities.

INCLUSION AND EQUITY

We are responsive to every child’s individual identity and needs. This includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, children with disability, LGBTQIA+ children, children who have experienced trauma and all young children in our care.

EMOTIONAL SAFETY AND CHILDREN’S VOICES

Children feel emotionally safe when they can be themselves, share their thoughts and feelings, make meaningful choices and confidently speak up. Our educators build this trust through positive relationships, age-appropriate protective-behaviour learning and opportunities for children to participate in decisions that affect them.
